Karen Tang

Dr. Karen Tang is a nationally recognized leader in women’s health and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS).  She has trained medical students and residents at Harvard, Oregon Health and Sciences University, University of Miami and UPenn, and has given lectures across the U.S. on topics of women’s health and minimally invasive surgery.

Her areas of expertise are advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery (hysteroscopy), endometriosis and adenomyosis, chronic pelvic pain, fibroids and abnormal uterine bleeding, management of abnormal Pap smears and cervical dysplasia.

Dr. Tang received her education and training at the University of Chicago, Columbia University, Harvard University, and the Legacy Health System (Portand, OR).  She is one of only a few fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeons in Eastern Pennsylvania.  She is also sensitive to the unique health and cultural issues faced by transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, and provides care for all patients in a sensitive and non-judgmental manner.

Dr. Tang is married and has three children.  She loves traveling internationally, and promoting women’s health on social media. Dr. Tang speaks Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.

Dr. Tang’s debut book will be published by Flatiron in Spring 2024.
