Jerome Ellison Murphy Consulting Editor
Jerome Ellison Murphy serves as Consulting Editor for Park & Fine, working primarily with Peter Knapp to support authors in bringing middle grade and young adult projects to fullest storytelling potential. He loves to assist with narrative structure, pacing, and character building, and provides extensive editorial notes and/or line edits at various stages of manuscript development.
Since 2015, Jerome has also served as Undergraduate Programs Manager at the NYU Creative Writing Program, and previously held the position of Literary Associate at Maria Carvainis Agency. He has also served on the board of Lambda Literary Foundation, the world’s foremost non-profit supporting LGBTQ literature.
A fan of literary fiction and poetry as well as genre fiction, Jerome earned his own MFA from the Creative Writing Program at New York University, and is a graduate of Stanford University. He currently lives in Manhattan, and enjoys writing criticism for such outlets as The Yale Review, Publishers Weekly, LA Review of Books, and others, while pursuing his own creative work.
